The questions people ask before they hand one an address
Mostly four of them, in different words: does it read my email, does it learn about me, will it do things without asking, and can I take it back. All four are answered before anything about price.
What it is
- What is a personal agent here?
- One document you already have, given a name and an address. A CV, a house manual, a rate card, a rental listing. Somebody messages the address instead of you, and it answers from that document â showing the line it took the answer from.
- Why several small ones rather than one that does everything?
- Because the thing you actually want to control is who can ask what. One agent that knows your CV, your house and your rates has to be trusted by a recruiter, a guest and a client all at once. Four agents, each made from one thing, each with its own visibility, gives you a decision per audience instead of one decision for all of them.
- Do I have to write anything?
- No. You point it at a document you already keep re-sending, and give it a name. The name becomes the address.
- What is an address, exactly?
- A handle â the thing you hand out in place of the file. Rename the agent a year later and the old address keeps working: it redirects permanently, so nothing you have already given somebody breaks.
What it does not do
- Does it read my email, my messages or my browser?
- No, and there is nowhere to give it those. It reads the documents you file against it and nothing else. It has no logins of yours, because it is never asked for any.
- Does it learn about me over time?
- No. It retrieves from what you filed; it does not accumulate a private impression of you. Those are different things and only the first one is what this does. If you want it to know something new, you file the document that says so.
- Will it do things on my behalf?
- It answers, retrieves and hands off. It does not go and do things in the world on its own initiative â it will not book, buy, send or sign. When a question needs one of those, it says so and points at you.
- Can it make something up?
- It answers from your material or it declines, and each answer carries the line it came from. It can be wrong the way your own document can be wrong â an out-of-date rate on the card will be quoted as the rate â which is exactly why the source is shown: you can see which line to fix.
Who can reach it
- Who can find my agents?
- You decide per agent, not once for your account. Public means it is on your shelf and anyone can talk to it. Unlisted means it is off the shelf, and anyone holding the link can. Private means only you, signed in.
- What does private actually mean?
- That its address returns exactly what a made-up name returns. Not a polite refusal that confirms it exists â the same not-found, so nobody learns anything by guessing.
- Is there a directory of everyoneâs agents?
- No, and there is not going to be one. Discovery is federated by design: your shelf is yours, and nobody enumerates it.
- Can I take the access back?
- Yes, and it is one action rather than an audit. Each hop carried its own token, written to a ledger, so revoking is a thing you do rather than a thing you go looking for.
What it costs
- How does pricing work?
- Every workspace opens with 500 free credits. Add a one-time credit pack when you need it, or choose a Pro or Max subscription for recurring credits. Monthly plans grant credits each month; yearly plans are discounted and grant twelve months of credits up front. One credit is one cent of model work; on the standard model a dollar buys roughly 55 answers.
- Is there a free tier?
- A new workspace opens with 500 credits already in it, with no card required. You can then buy a one-time pack, subscribe, or stop using paid services.
- Do I need a subscription to buy credits?
- No. One-time packs add credits to the workspace where you buy them, with or without a subscription. Packs do not renew and do not change your feature access. The same pack prices and credit amounts apply across our retail apps; balances remain separate.
- Can I cancel a plan?
- Yes, any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period, and every credit already granted stays in your balance.
- Do credits expire?
- No. A balance you paid for stays yours until you spend it, including credits granted by a plan you later cancel.
- What currency am I charged in?
- Subscriptions are billed in USD, or in INR on the India site where the published INR prices apply. One-time packs use USD, or the published INR prices when you declare India as your billing country and the payment method supports INR. Checkout confirms the currency before payment. Prices include VAT where it applies.
- What happens when I run out?
- You can buy a one-time pack or wait for your next subscription credit grant. Work already in progress can finish after your balance runs out, and its usage is still recorded. Review the usage ledger to see what consumed your credits.
- Why do some models cost more?
- Credit spend is quoted against the standard model. A more capable model costs more per unit of work, so it draws the balance down faster â 25 times faster for the advanced tier. Both rates are published rather than blended into one number.
Still unsure? The fastest answer is its first one â point one at a document you already have and read what it says back.
